Terms of Service

Free trial

New users get a free trial, currently 30 days. It starts the first time you open the SlateScope workspace, sales counter, or setup screen. No payment details are needed to start. The trial belongs to your Google account and is offered once per account. When the trial ends, SlateScope pauses. Nothing is charged, and a trial never turns into a paid subscription on its own.

Subscriptions and pricing

After the trial, SlateScope is available by subscription for $5.00 per month or $50.00 per year, in US dollars, plus any applicable taxes. Payments are processed by Stripe. If the price changes, you will be told by email at least 30 days before the new price applies to your next renewal.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, charged to the payment method on file, until you cancel. Monthly subscriptions renew every month and annual subscriptions renew every year.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time from SlateScope ▸ Trial & Access ▸ Manage subscription, or by contacting support. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period. You keep access until then, and you will not be charged again.

Refunds

• Monthly subscriptions are not refundable. Cancel at any time and you keep access until the end of the month you paid for.
• Annual subscriptions can be refunded in full if you ask within 30 days of the original purchase or of an annual renewal charge. After 30 days, annual subscriptions are not refundable.

To request a refund, contact support. Refunds are returned to the original payment method. If SlateScope is discontinued, any unused prepaid time will be refunded. Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under applicable law.

Failed payments

If a payment fails, Stripe retries it automatically. SlateScope shows a notice and keeps working during a grace period, currently 72 hours, so you have time to update your payment details. If the payment is not resolved, SlateScope pauses until it is.

Your spreadsheet always stays yours

A trial ending, a cancelled subscription, or a failed payment only pauses SlateScope. Your Google Sheets™ spreadsheet and everything in it are never deleted, hidden, locked, or changed as a result, and you can keep using the spreadsheet normally.

Licence keys

A licence key is for use by the person or business that bought it. Do not share, publish, or resell it. A key that is shared widely, or used after a chargeback or refund, may be revoked.

Permission to use SlateScope

You may use SlateScope for lawful business purposes. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer, interfere with, or use SlateScope to break a law or another person's rights.

Your data and responsibilities

You control the spreadsheets and information used with SlateScope. You are responsible for access permissions, backups, accuracy, contact consent, and lawful sales or marketing activity.

Feedback

You may send comments, error reports, and ideas to help improve SlateScope. Mark Parq may use that feedback without payment or a duty to adopt it.

Availability

SlateScope is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. No promise is made that it will always be available, error-free, or fit every business process.

Backups and loss

Keep your own spreadsheet backups before using setup, import, transfer, merge, or bulk-change tools. To the extent allowed by law, Mark Parq is not responsible for indirect, special, or lost-profit damages, or for data loss caused by access settings, user actions, Google services, or software errors.

Suspension or end of access

Access may be paused or ended for misuse, security risk, non-payment, or legal need. You may stop using SlateScope at any time by cancelling your subscription and uninstalling it.

Google services

SlateScope runs with Google Sheets™ and Apps Script. Use of Google services is also subject to Google's own terms and availability.

Changes

These terms may change as SlateScope develops. Important changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Price changes follow the notice described above.
